Don’t Let Car Problems Terrify You this Halloween

Do you know what is super scary? Neglecting to take care of your car during the fall months! Darker days and colder weather are on the horizon so now is the time to prepare.

Battery: It’s always important to prepare for an encounter with the undead. Make sure your battery is charged (and fully alive!) to make a quick getaway.

Brakes: With all those little devils, witches and ghosts haunting about, safe braking is crucial. Inspect and test your brakes now - before the trick-or-treaters and slick roads arrive.

Headlights: What happens when the sun goes down and you’re left in the dark with who knows what? Nothing - if you see them first! Don’t forget to test your headlights, replace bulbs, and clean the housings thoroughly.

Tires: The roads are full of things that go bump in the night, so make sure your tires have a great grip. Regularly check your tire pressure and look for wear and damage. If your tread depth is low or cords are showing, you are risking a blowout or skid, and that is truly frightening.

Windshield Wipers: Halloween is a fun time of year. What’s not so fun is unpredictable weather and how it affects visibility. Fall is a perfect time to replace your wiper blades. Don’t forget to refill your wiper reservoir with fluid.
